1. Introduction

Welcome to TOML Reader & Editor, developed by QuarkSol. We are dedicated to providing a fast, lightweight, and privacy-focused utility for viewing, editing, validating, and converting `.toml` configuration files (including `Cargo.toml`, `pyproject.toml`, and `.lock` files).

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains how TOML Reader & Editor processes information, how device permissions are utilized, and how we uphold strict data security.

By using TOML Reader & Editor, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Privacy-First & 100% Offline Local Processing

Your TOML configuration files remain strictly private on your device.

No Server Uploads: All TOML parsing, syntax highlighting, schema validation, search operations, and format exports (TOML to JSON / TOML to CSV) are performed completely offline on your local device.
No Remote Cloud Servers: We do not operate remote servers to store, process, inspect, or transfer your `.toml` files or configuration parameters.
Sensitive Credentials Safety: Credentials, API keys, database settings, and environment variables contained within your `Cargo.toml`, `pyproject.toml`, or `.toml` documents are never exposed, collected, or transmitted.

---

3. Information We Access and Process

A. Personal Information

TOML Reader & Editor does not collect personal identification data such as your name, phone number, physical address, or contact lists. No account registration is required to use the application.

B. Device Storage & File Access Permissions

To function as a configuration file viewer and code editor, the application requests standard Android/iOS local storage permissions:

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Used strictly to allow you to select, open, and view `.toml` files from your device storage or external memory.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Used strictly to allow you to save edits to your `.toml` files, create new configuration files, or export converted JSON/CSV files to your local storage.
Scope of Access: The app only accesses files explicitly opened by you or selected through the system file picker.

C. Optional Google Drive Backup

The app provides an optional cloud sync feature utilizing the Google Drive API:

User Consent: Google Sign-in is 100% optional and only triggered when initiated by you.
Restricted Scope: The application strictly accesses the app's isolated private folder or designated backup folder on your Google Drive to save or restore backup copies of your configuration files.
No Third-Party Sharing: Your Google user data and Drive files are never sold, shared, or monitored.

D. Advertisements & Usage Metrics

To offer TOML Reader & Editor as a free developer tool, we integrate trusted third-party SDKs:

Google AdMob & Play Services: May collect non-personally identifiable device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) and basic system telemetry to serve compliant contextual advertisements.
Opt-Out Control: You can manage or reset your advertising identifier anytime in your device settings (`Settings > Privacy > Ads`).
